That said, I am at heart a soft and sentimental trash panda. Messy feelings that resolve happily are my jam. I delight in an unlikely pairing/crack 'ship taken seriously. Who cares if they never interact in canon. They're in love now.
(If you pick up the Wes/Kell request I cannot imagine that resolves happily with them in love, but. Y'know. That one's here for the Drama™.)

They are both ruthless bastards who have done whatever needs to be done for the cause since before the Battle of Yavin. They both have long-suffering dad energy. Have you read Cracken's Rebel Field Guide? This man is a menace behind a thin, thin veneer of professionalism in the exact same way as Wedge. There are two fics for this 'ship, one is the original that ate my brain and the other is mine that I wrote because the 'ship ate my brain. I need there to be more because I am Suffering.
Also Cracken was totally at Endor so if you wanna get them to make out against a tree while drunk on Ewok liquor I would not mind.

I do not care about NJO. I have not cared about NJO in twenty years and I'm not about to start again. I am, however, yearning to see these two healing from being POWs together post-Unifying Force. Let the old soldiers be at peace and in love. I will never learn enough about NJO and post-NJO Legends to write it myself, someone please write it for me I beg you.
Wes Janson/Kell Tainer
Wes killed Kell's father. The idea of a messy, messy, messy affair has taken root in my brain.
This one might work with a genderbent Wes (make Wes a girl nation unite. there's one person in the nation and it's me). Kell is the type to make terrible decisions if a woman is pretty enough. However Wes as Kell's bisexual awakening also has incredible potential.
Hobbie/Page
Hobbie's type is devastatingly competent and Page is sexy. 'Nuff said.
Leia/Mirax
Leia loves a rogue with a good heart and I want to see Mirax with a non-Corran person.
Wes/Hobbie
Do I even have to explain this one? They're unhinged about each other. The ride-or-die devotion. The silly pranks. The loyalty underneath the pranks. They are both SO COMPETENT professionally. I love them.
